1.1. These Terms and Conditions set out the rules for accepting bookings by the National Museum in Kraków, with its registered office at 30-062 Kraków, al. 3 Maja 1, registered in the Register of Cultural Institutions under number RIK: 25/92, VAT number: 6750004442, REGON: 000275961, hereinafter referred to as the “Museum”, for all branches of the Museum with the exception of the Karol Szymanowski Museum in the “Atma” villa in Zakopane.
1.2. The Museum accepts bookings for individuals and organised groups in accordance with the Museum’s offer, which is published on the website: https://mnk.pl/
1.3. The Museum specifies which events or services require a booking on its website: https://mnk.pl/
1.4. Bookings may be made by an adult acting on their own behalf or on behalf of the institution they represent.
1.5. Individuals or institutions making bookings for services provided by the Museum are hereinafter referred to in these Terms and Conditions as the “Booker”.
2.1. Bookings for all branches, with the exception of the Karol Szymanowski Museum in the “Atma” villa in Zakopane, may only be made by contacting the Information and Booking Centre, by email at: rezerwacja@mnk.pl, by telephone on +48 12 433 57 44, or via the contact form: http://10.47.231.151:8080/
2.2. Bookings are accepted subject to availability.
2.3. At the request of the Customer, submitted by email, the Museum may create an electronic booking order; upon payment of this order, the Customer will receive e-tickets in PDF format. In such cases, the rules governing the sale of electronic tickets by the Museum are set out in the TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE TICKET SALES AT THE NATIONAL MUSEUM IN KRAKOW. By submitting a request to create an electronic booking, the Customer accepts the Terms and Conditions for Online Ticket Sales at the National Museum in Krakow.
2.4. Bookings for services requiring the booking of an Educator are accepted no later than 5 days before the planned date of the visit.
2.5. Bookings for services that do not require the additional booking of an Educator are accepted on an ongoing basis, subject to availability.
2.6. Bookings for the 19th-Century Polish Art Gallery in the MNK Sukiennice and the MNK Czartoryski Museum are accepted up to 3 months before the planned date of the visit; for other departments, bookings are accepted up to 6 months before the planned visit.
2.7. To make a booking, the following information must be provided:
a) the date and time of the visit
b) the branch and gallery the Booking Party intends to visit
c) the type of service requested
d) the language in which the service is to be provided
e) the size of the group (number of participants and number of group supervisors)
f) the age of the participants
g) the Customer’s contact details (telephone, email)
h) in the case of a booking for an entity other than a natural person, it is necessary to provide the full name and address of the entity, as well as the first name, surname and contact details of the person representing the entity
i) information on the special needs of participants (e.g. people with disabilities)
j) additional information (e.g. a request to shorten the standard duration of the service, etc.)
3.1. The Customer who has made a booking for services requiring an additional booking of an Educator will be sent, to the email address provided, a link to the booking form for educational services provided by the National Museum in Kraków.
3.2. The Customer is required to complete the online booking form and submit it by clicking the “Send” option.
3.3. A fully completed booking form constitutes the basis for accepting a booking for the services listed in point 3.1.
3.4. The booking form must be completed by an adult: the group leader, or the person referred to in point 2.7.h, or the person making the booking individually.
3.5. A booking for the services listed in point 3.1 will be cancelled if the Customer fails to complete the online Booking Form within 24 hours of making the booking. Bookings are confirmed only during the opening hours of the INFORMATION AND BOOKING CENTRE OF THE NATIONAL MUSEUM IN KRAKOW.
3.6. Following an individual agreement between the Customer and the Information and Booking Centre of the National Museum in Krakow, the time allowed to complete the Booking Form may be extended. The decision on whether to extend the time allowed to complete the Form rests with a member of staff at the Information and Booking Centre of the National Museum in Krakow.
3.7. The Customer who has correctly completed the Booking Form online will receive an email confirming the completion of the booking process.
3.8. In the case of bookings that do not require an additional booking of an Educator, the Customer will be sent an email confirming the booking immediately after making the booking by telephone or email.
3.9. In the event of changes to a booking (e.g. changes to the group size), the Booking Party is obliged to inform the Information and Booking Centre of such changes by telephone or email.
4.1. The rules regarding the maximum size of organised groups at the Museum are determined by safety considerations, conservation requirements and the need to ensure visitors’ comfort.
4.2. The Museum accepts bookings for groups of up to 35 people, with the exception of:
a) Bishop MNK Ciołek’s Palace, where the group size may not exceed 25 people.
b) Józef Czapski’s Pavilion, where the group size may not exceed 25 people.
c) The MNK Wyspiański Museum (EUROPEUM Centre for European Culture), where the group size may not exceed 25 people.
d) The MNK Czartoryski Museum, where the group size may not exceed 20 people.
4.3. The maximum number of people specified in point 4.2 comprises the total number of all tour participants, including group supervisors, city guides and tour leaders. Exceeding the permitted number of people in the group will result in the Museum refusing to provide the service; costs paid in advance by the Client are non-refundable.
4.4. The number of people in the group declared by the Client in the Booking Form must correspond to the actual number. If a larger number of people turn up at the Museum, the Educator may refuse to provide the service if the change in group size has not been previously agreed by the Client with the Information and Booking Centre. If a larger number of people than that declared by the Booking Party arrive at the Museum and the Museum refuses to provide the service, the costs paid in advance by the Booking Party are non-refundable.
4.5. Due to the circumstances referred to in clause 4.1, the Museum reserves the right to temporarily establish separate rules regarding the permissible size of organised groups for individual exhibitions at the Museum.
4.6. The capacity limit for individual events organised by the Museum is determined separately for each event.
5.1. The controller of the personal data provided by the Booking Party is the National Museum in Kraków.

5.3. The Ordering Party’s personal data will be processed for the purpose of providing the booking service and contacting the Ordering Party.
5.4. To the extent permitted by law and subject to any legal exceptions, the Ordering Party the Customer has the right to access the data, to have it rectified, erased or the processing restricted, as well as the right to object, to request the cessation of processing and the transfer of data, and the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority – the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
5.5. The provision of personal data is voluntary but necessary to make a booking. If the data is not provided, it will not be possible to complete the booking service.
5.6. Personal data is made available to the entity providing services related to software and IT support on the basis of a data processing agreement.
5.7. Data provided by the Customer will not be disclosed to third parties. The recipients of the data will be only institutions authorised by law.
5.8. Data provided by the Customer will not be subject to profiling.
5.9. The Data Controller does not intend to transfer the Ordering Party’s personal data to a third country or an international organisation.
5.10. Personal data will be stored for a period of 5 years, starting from the beginning of the year following the year in which the booking was made.
5.11. Personal data is protected and processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR) and in accordance with the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (i.e. Journal of Laws 2018.1000 of 24 May 2018).
5.12. With separate consent, the Ordering Party’s personal data may be used by the Museum for the purpose of sending the National Museum in Krakow Newsletter and other publications and information containing advertisements in accordance with Regulation (EU)
(EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR) and in accordance with the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (i.e. Journal of Laws 2018. 1000 of 24 May 2018).
5.13. The information notice regarding the processing of personal data will be sent to the Customer at the email address provided by them, together with notifications automatically sent by the Booking System.
5.14. The Museum shall not be liable for the consequences of the Customer providing false or incorrect personal data.
6.1. The costs of admission tickets to the Museum and services are set out in the Museum’s price list. Information on all fees is published on the Museum’s website – BRANCHES, OPENING HOURS, TICKETS.
6.2. Payment for services must be made prior to the provision of the service:
a) in cash or by payment card at the branch ticket office on the day the service is provided
b) by bank transfer to the Museum’s account prior to the scheduled date of service provision
c) prior to the scheduled date of service provision via an electronic payment operator, following the creation of an electronic order as referred to in point 2.3.
6.3. In the case of the MNK Czartoryski Museum, bookings must be paid for (in accordance with point 6.2) or collected at the museum ticket office no later than 15 minutes before the booking time. Bookings not paid for or collected at least 15 minutes before the start time are automatically cancelled.
6.4. The customer intending to pay by bank transfer or via an electronic payment provider must notify the Museum at least 5 days before the planned date of the visit and send the details required to issue an invoice by email to the Information and Booking Centre: rezerwacja@mnk.pl
6.5. The date of payment shall be deemed to be the date on which the specified amount for the reserved service is credited to the Museum’s account or the date on which payment is made at the ticket office.
6.7. The Museum may refuse to provide the service in the absence of confirmation that the specified amount for the reserved service has been received.
6.8. The Museum issues invoices at the request of the Customer, following notification of such a requirement by the Customer and provision of the details necessary for issuing the invoice. Invoices are issued after payment has been made.
6.9. In the event of a decision by the Director of the National Museum in Kraków:
a) to increase ticket prices, the Customer shall pay for the booking in accordance with the prices in force on the date the booking was made.
b) to reduce ticket prices, the Customer shall pay for the booking in accordance with the prices in force on the date the sales document is issued.
7.1. Any cancellation of a booking confirmed via the Booking Form referred to in points 3.1–3.7 must be notified to the Booking Centre by telephone or email no later than one day before the scheduled date of the visit.
7.2. In the absence of notification of cancellation of bookings confirmed via the Booking Form, or in the event of cancellation less than one day prior to the agreed date of the visit, the Museum shall issue the Customer with a penalty notice in the amount of PLN 150. The amount specified in the first sentence constitutes a contractual penalty for the loss incurred by the Museum as a result of the cancellation of the service booking.
7.3. In the event that the Museum refuses to provide the service confirmed by the Booking Form due to the number of people in the group exceeding that stated in the booking, as referred to in clause 4.4, due to the Customer’s failure to comply with the booking conditions and the resulting damage caused to the Museum, the Museum shall issue the Customer with a penalty notice in the amount of PLN 150.
7.4. The contractual penalty covered by the penalty notice must be paid by bank transfer to the Museum’s bank account, as indicated in the penalty notice, within 14 days of its issue.
8.1. The Customer is obliged to arrive at the Museum on time. The start time of the service is deemed to be the time agreed during the booking process.
8.2. The Educator shall wait for 15 minutes, with the exception of the MNK Czartoryski Museum, for which the procedure described in point 6.3 applies.
8.3. In the event of a delay of more than 15 minutes or failure to pay for / collect the booking at the MNK Czartoryski Museum 15 minutes before the scheduled time, the Museum reserves the right to refuse entry to the group and to charge the fee referred to in points 7.2–7.3.
8.4. In the event of advance payment for the booking in accordance with clause 6.2 and the group being more than 15 minutes late, or in the case of the MNK Czartoryski Museum 5 minutes late, the costs paid in advance by the Booking Party are non-refundable. No penalty charge will be issued.
8.5. In the event of the group being late, the Educator has the right to shorten the duration of the service by the amount of time the group was late.
9.1. The group supervisor is responsible for the safety and conduct of the group within the Museum and is obliged to cooperate with the Educator to maintain discipline within the group.
9.2. During their visit to the Museum, visitors are required to comply with the Visiting Regulations of the National Museum in Kraków – VISITING REGULATIONS OF THE MNK.
9.3. Should visitors’ behaviour grossly violate generally accepted rules of conduct in public places and the Visiting Regulations of the National Museum in Krakow, the Educator has the right to terminate the service. In such a case, costs paid in advance by the Client are non-refundable.
9.4. In exceptional circumstances, the Museum reserves the right to cancel a booking or, following consultation with the Client, to reschedule it for another date.
9.5. Making a booking constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
9.6. The Museum reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions.
9.7. These Terms and Conditions have been drawn up in two language versions: Polish and English. In the event of any discrepancy between the language versions of these Terms and Conditions, the Polish version shall prevail.
9.8. In matters not covered by these Terms and Conditions, the provisions of law shall apply, in particular the Civil Code, Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (GDPR), as well as the Civil Code and the Act of 10 May 2018 on the protection of personal data (i.e. Journal of Laws 2018.1000 of 24 May 2018), and, in relation to natural persons carrying out activities not directly related to their business or professional activities – the provisions of the Act of 30 May 2014 on consumer rights (Journal of Laws of 2019, item 134), in particular, pursuant to Article 38(12) of the aforementioned provisions, the right to withdraw from a contract concluded off the business premises or at a distance does not apply to the consumer in respect of contracts for the provision of cultural services.
9.9. These terms and conditions shall apply from 18 November 2024.
