2024

  • ‘A New Beginning. Modernism in the Second Polish Republic’ won an award in the ‘Common Space – Projects’ competition as part of the 8th International Biennial of Interior Architecture. The exhibition design was awarded the Grand Prix in the public interior category.
  • Sybilla 2023– Honourable Mention for the National Museum in Kraków for the project
  • DIXIT MNK: promoting the collections of the National Museum in Kraków in the Education category, and an honourable mention for the exhibition Arms and Colours – a permanent exhibition at the MNK Arsenal of the Czartoryski Museum in the New and Modernised Permanent Exhibitions category.
  • Icebreakers 2024: The National Museum in Krakow won first place and the Icebreaker statuette as the winner of the Lublin, Małopolska, Podkarpacie and Świętokrzyskie Regional Gala of the Icebreakers 2024 Competition in the category: Socially Responsible Employer – Sustainable Business Development (CSR/ESG), and subsequently first prize in the nationwide Icebreakers 2024 competition – recognising the MNK as a public institution that has introduced and consistently implemented a mission of social responsibility in its activities.
  • The Joachim Lelewel Honorary Award was awarded to the National Museum in Kraków for its outstanding contribution to museum activities – 21st Congress of Polish Historians in Białystok.

2023

  • Sybilla 2022 – Conservation and protection of cultural heritage – project: The Engravings of Joachim Lelewel. A catalogue of Lelewel’s print plates and engravings from the collections of the National Museum in Kraków.
  • Polonia Minor Gold Medal for the MNK Matejko House – a branch of the National Museum in Kraków. The award was presented to the institution on the occasion of its 125th anniversary, in recognition of its contribution to promoting the life and work of Jan Matejko, one of the most outstanding Polish and European painters of the second half of the 19th century.
  • “Giants of Culture 2023” – Category: “Cultural Event”. The joint nomination won – the exhibitions “Tamara Łempicka – A Woman on a Journey” (National Museum in Lublin) and “Łempicka” (National Museum in Krakow), presenting the work of an independent artist who created the image of the modern, successful woman.
  • The Centenary of Regained Independence Medal was awarded to the director of the National Museum in Kraków, Prof. Andrzej Szczerski.
