Head to the Museum with CeZik and NutkoSfera

2 kwietnia 2023

In our search for ways to introduce children to the world of art and historical heritage, we recently had the pleasure of collaborating with NutkoSfera. A few months on from our first meeting, we’d like to share the song “To the Museum” and the music video we created together.

The idea behind the song was to invite children (and not just them!) to engage with culture.

We want to share an idea for spending family time at the museum and let people get to know us better. We think it’s worth it!

The animation for the video was produced by the Animwood studio in collaboration with the Education Department of the National Museum in Kraków. Our colleagues at CeZik have selected a range of artworks that are just begging to be discovered and visited at our branches: the MNK Main Building, the MNK Sukiennice and the MNK Czartoryski Museum. There are the most famous ones, such as Leonardo da Vinci’s Lady with an Ermine or Olga Boznańska’s Girl with Chrysanthemums. There are also those that always make a big impression on our visitors’ whole families, such as Jan Pamuła’s 1979 rainbow-coloured composition Multi-element Arrangement. The girls wouldn’t be themselves if they hadn’t thrown in a few exceptional objects… What is it, how much does it weigh, is it older than me? – the answers aren’t simple, but they’re already there: in Aleksandra Jaremko’s essay “To the Museum” on the zbiory.mnk.pl platform.

The song invites you to spend time engaging with art, either on your own or during the classes and activities organised by the MNK Education Department: family Sundays and guided tours for families with children.
