On 11–12 May, Kraków hosted a Musedu+ project meeting and a conference during which various aspects of cultural institutions’ digital presence were discussed: New technologies = new skills? Prospects for staff development in the cultural sector. The events were attended by an international team representing the partner institutions of the Musedu+ project – guests from Italy, Spain and Germany.

On 11 May, we met in person for the first time at the National Museum in Kraków. It was a time of intense discussion about the future course of the project, which aims to create new professional profiles for museum professionals, based on the use of new technologies for education and communication.

On 12 May, during an open conference, the Musedu+ project was presented by Francesca Blandino, the project coordinator on behalf of the Fondazione Morra Greco in Naples. The other presentations focused on digital innovations in culture: the GLAM-Wiki collaboration in Poland (Agata Stadnicka, Wikimedia Polska, wiki-resident at the National Museum in Kraków) and methods of managing the use of AI tools (David Sypniewski, SWPS Open Artificial Intelligence Laboratory). The conference concluded with a workshop led by Edyta Gawlak and Jan Strycharz (Social Innovation Workshop Foundation).

The event was attended by several dozen people, including staff from cultural institutions in Małopolska and Silesia, as well as a significant and engaged group of students from the Pedagogical University of Kraków. Thanks to the diversity of this group, the outcomes of the workshop—which aimed to develop various models of new professional roles for the cultural sector—cannot be overlooked. This meeting taught us a great deal and will not go unnoticed: the views and insights shared by those working together during the workshop will serve as the starting point for the next stages of the Musedu+ project.

Co dalej? Spotkanie projektowe w Krakowie było pierwszym, ale nie ostatnim elementem projektu Musedu+. Już niedługo damy znać o kolejnych postępach przedsięwzięcia.
