Around Wyspiański. Franciszek Wyspiański

Do you already know everything there is to know about Wyspiański, or are you only just discovering the secrets of his work? Are you familiar with his pastel portraits of children and *The Wedding*? Perhaps, whilst strolling through Kraków, you’ve come across traces of the ‘fourth bard’ in the Franciscan Church? When you look at Wawel, are you aware that the artist saw it differently?

We invite all lovers and future enthusiasts of MNK Wyspiański’s work to join us for a series of meetings during which we will take a journey into the past. We will revisit the most important events in the artist’s life, the themes and works created for Kraków that continue to celebrate the city to this day.

Host

Beata Studziżba-Kubalska – PhD in Art History, curator of the Józef Mehoffer House at the MNK, and author of exhibitions and publications on the history of 19th-century Polish painting and the work of Józef Mehoffer.
