We invite you to a series of intimate gatherings held at the National Museum in Kraków, designed for carers with very young children. This is an opportunity for those who wish to reconnect with art or maintain that connection whilst looking after a child — without rushing, without pressure, and without the need to arrange childcare.
During the sessions, adults are the main participants. Babies can sleep, be fed, observe their surroundings or simply be present — in an atmosphere of acceptance and calm. We ensure the comfort of both children and carers, creating a safe space for being together.
Each session is a mindful, unhurried encounter with art. Instead of many works, we select one or two pieces to linger over — we talk, look, and search for meanings and emotions. It is a time for a moment’s respite, reflection, and meeting other adults.
Anna Pomykalska-Marczuk – artist and educator, she has taken part in numerous solo and group painting exhibitions in Poland and abroad. She studied painting and drawing in Kyiv. She also works in artistic photography. At the museum, she loves working with children and people with disabilities. She is keen to talk about the secrets of an artist’s work and is a great admirer of Baroque art.
Anna Sokulska – a long-standing licensed city and museum guide, combining these professional and passionate pursuits with being a mum to six-year-old Orion. She draws inspiration from family visits to various cultural institutions and strives to maintain her innate mindfulness in this fast-paced modern world, which is often not conducive to quiet observation and reflection.
