During the tour, we will visit the most important section of the MNK Czapski Pavilion, dedicated to the life and work of J\u00f3zef Czapski \u2013 a writer, painter, soldier and witness to many events in the turbulent history of the 20th century.
A guided tour will allow you to explore the intricacies of MNK Czapski\u2019s biography \u2013 from his participation in the Polish-Bolshevik War, through his studies in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krak\u00f3w and in Paris, Soviet captivity during the Second World War, joining General Anders\u2019s army and the mission to search for Polish officers imprisoned by the NKVD and murdered, right up to his emigration to France, where the artist was associated with the Literary Institute.
The exhibition features both the artist\u2019s paintings and a selection of his writings. It will also be a unique experience to step inside the artist\u2019s small room in Maisons-Laffitte, meticulously recreated on a 1:1 scale, where Czapski lived for over 40 years. Inside, you can see the original furniture, mementos, books, and even the doors and windows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
