Creating avatars from the Young Poland universe"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Join us for a workshop exploring fantastical themes in the paintings of the Group of Five, during which we will uncover the darker side of modernism. Participants will familiarise themselves with the symbolism of the Young Poland bestiary \u2013 from predatory chimeras and snakes to vampire motifs and personifications of death. In the practical session, we will move on to a creative remix, where, drawing on the knowledge gained, each participant will design their own avatar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hosting:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Maja Starakiewicz, a member of the Grupa Robocza Foundation, designer, illustrator, lecturer at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krak\u00f3w (Studio of Narrative Drawing) and the Tarn\u00f3w Academy, author of the book <em>Model and Metaphor: Visual Communication in the Humanities<\/em> and the educational programme <em>A Passion for Stories<\/em>. A lover of digital games.<br>Grupa Robocza is an interdisciplinary team of experts. It provides consultancy and conducts research in the field of design in the broadest sense and new technologies.
