Once upon a time, there was a unicorn that looked a bit like a goat. There was also a magical ancient herb, a pot full of wonderful gold coins, and a few colours that had the power to transport you to other realms. They all lived in a museum and, to be honest, they still live there. If you visit us on a Friday evening this spring, you\u2019ll be able to hear stories about their lives\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us for evening storytelling sessions at the MNK\u2019s exhibitions and gardens<\/strong> \u2013 stories inspired by art, museum objects and artists will be told for you by an actress, an actor, and sometimes even puppets. There may also be mysterious props and music. As the museum empties and dusk slowly falls, on a cushion or a deckchair, in quite an unusual setting \u2013 let the magic of storytelling take hold!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We particularly recommend this to children who love fantastical and legendary worlds and cannot fall asleep without a bedtime story. And to those carers who still believe in dragons and unicorns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Karolina Lichoci\u0144ska<\/strong> \u2013 born in 1991 in Elbl\u0105g. In 2019, she passed the external examination before the ZASP committee (drama actor). A graduate of the Aleksander Zelwerowicz Theatre Academy in Warsaw (Faculty of Theatre Studies). She took her first steps on stage at the Aleksander Sewruk Theatre in Elbl\u0105g. She is one of the founders of Warsaw\u2019s Pijana Sypialnia Theatre, with which she has won numerous awards at festivals across the country. Between 2018 and 2025, she collaborated with Krak\u00f3w\u2019s Groteska Theatre. Since 2022, she has been working with the \u201cRabcio\u201d Puppet Theatre in Rabka Zdr\u00f3j, and since 2024 with the Figur Theatre in Krak\u00f3w. She has performed in productions by, among others, Jerzy Bielunas, Jerzy Jan Po\u0142o\u0144ski, El\u017cbieta Depty, Dagmara \u017babska, Czes\u0142aw Sie\u0144ka and Andrzej Rozhin. In January 2023, she received a scholarship from the Minister of Culture and National Heritage in the \u201cTheatre\u201d category. In November 2023, she was honoured in the Witold Su\u0142kowski Prize for Poetic Prose competition organised by the House of Literature in \u0141\u00f3d\u017a. She also works as a director\u2019s assistant and writes texts for the theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pawe\u0142 Ku\u017ama<\/strong> \u2013 actor at the Groteska Theatre. A graduate of the State Higher Theatre School in Krak\u00f3w \u2013 Wroc\u0142aw Branch, Department of Puppetry (2015).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whilst still a student, he began working with the Puppet and Actor Theatre in Wa\u0142brzych, where he appeared in almost forty productions over eight years. Furthermore, as a puppetry and movement choreographer, he has also collaborated with Wroc\u0142aw\u2019s Formal Arrangement Theatre and the Olsztyn Puppet Theatre. Winner of numerous awards and distinctions, including the POLUNIMA AWARD FOR YOUNG ACTORS for the most promising puppeteer of the younger generation for his role in the production \u2018Day Eighty-Five\u2019 directed by Aga B\u0142aszczak, the Prof. W\u0142adys\u0142aw Jarema Acting Award in the field of puppet animation, awarded by the Puppet Theatres Section of the Association of Polish Stage Artists (ZASP) for his roles as Santiago and Manolin in the production \u201cDay Eighty-Five\u201d during the 29th National Puppet Theatre Festival in Opole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
